Josh joined Reese Henry as a Tax Associate and CPA candidate, bringing eight years of experience in tax preparation and compliance. His career began in 2005 at a small practice in Fort Worth, TX, preparing individual tax returns. More recently, he has spent two years immersed in Silicon Valley, assisting tech start-ups with tax compliance and filings. His expertise includes individual tax preparation for middle-class families and small business owners, as well as corporate tax filings for early-stage and at-loss tech companies.

Josh earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University - Sacramento and is currently working toward his CPA license, which he expects to complete in early 2025. Outside of work, his top priority is family, spending most of his free time with his three-year-old son. A passionate golfer and dedicated sports enthusiast, he enjoys following and playing a variety of sports whenever time allows.

Why did you choose SACRAMENTO?

“I love the Roaring Fork Valley! I graduated from high school locally and would like to use my employment, one-day, as a springboard to move back to the valley full-time. As of now, I am fully remote out of Sacramento, CA. One of the key aspects of living in Sacramento is the location. We are approximately 3 hours or less from a lot of attractive places – Lake Tahoe, Napa, San Francisco, Monterey and Yosemite to name a few.”

What does living the “Aspen Idea” mean to you?

“To flourish is to be, not only healthy but also capable. For me, those ideas go hand-in-hand. To keep the mind, body and spirit flourishing one must maintain a healthy lifestyle. Health is of great importance to me and I can only see myself flourishing if I am able to maintain a healthy mind, body and spirit.”
